I'm Annapurna — a Product Designer and Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) with 10+ years turning complex enterprise systems, AI tools, and healthcare platforms into experiences users actually trust.
A curated set of projects across AI, enterprise analytics, healthcare, and higher education.
Designed the end-to-end UX for AI-assisted authorship tool, helping Quality Operations authors produce higher-quality reports through intelligent SOP comparison. Piloted at one site and scaled to five across North America, establishing the foundation for AI-assisted authoring.
A centralized, real-time alert system that empowers ~1K Operations users across various business verticals to make faster decisions and take immediate action, without switching between tools. Led end-to-end design as part of AbbVie's advanced analytics platform.
Batch Traceability gives supply chain and quality teams a unified view of a product's full manufacturing history, spanning multiple production sites and geographies, in a single interface. Replacing fragmented manual processes for Operations teams globally.
Redesigned the academic advising experience for 7K+ students and their advisors at the University of Arizona, replacing a disjointed booking process with a simple, Salesforce-integrated scheduling tool that's been live and in use since launch.
I'm a Product Designer and Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) based in Pittsburgh, currently working at Abbott designing customer support experiences for medical devices across North America and EMEA.
My path started in electronics engineering, moved through a Master's in New Media Design, and has since taken me across industries such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit with always with the same goal: Turning complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
I'm drawn to high-stakes problems such as AI tools where trust is everything, analytics dashboards where clarity drives decisions, and regulated enterprise systems. I thrive when design has to earn its place.
Outside of work, I advocate for inclusivity in tech and have been recognized twice with the AbbVie Excellence Award — for championing the first UX Summit and for supporting the Tech in Residence program to bring more STEM women into AbbVie.
I prioritize getting close to users — through interviews, usability testing, or SME collaboration — before committing to a direction. Every design decision traces back to a real insight.
When users interact with AI-driven tools, transparency isn't optional. I design for explainability, making sure every recommendation or suggestion is grounded in a reasoning users can understand and act on.
Some of my best design decisions have come from sitting with developers, engineers, and stakeholders early. I keep technical constraints and business goals in view from day one and not as obstacles, but as creative inputs.
Whether you're building an AI product, rethinking a complex enterprise tool, or need a design partner who asks the right questions. I'd love to hear what you're working on.
